“Yerevan municipality has special funds for the support of the poor,” mayor candidate Zaruhi Postanjyan told journalist referring to the offer of “Yelq” bloc.
Let us remind you that “Yelq” bloc has announced that after their victory they are going to give 15 000 AMD to the ones who had refused to take a bribe.
Journalists asked Zaruhi Postanjyan whether she agrees with the offer, she answered: “First of all he is not giving from his pocket. The budget of Yerevan municipality is providing social support at this moment. It is not appropriate to say that I also will provide.”
Zaruhi Postanjyan has noticed that today more than million people are hungry and those people are getting social support from different programs.
To the question, can “Yelq’s” offer foster people not to take bribes, Zaruhi Postanjyan said: “No. When the electors take bribes they are vulnerable, and they are getting the social support at this time. We have to change the political structure and create conditions that our grandmothers and grandfathers will not need those 15.000 AMDs and will not be vulnerable.
