During the Yerevan City Council campaign, bizarre events did not happen, but mayor candidate of “Yerkir Tsirani” Zaruhi Postanjyan says that their main target is ruling Republican party of Armenia, which has used its administrative resources and mainly the educational institutions. During the press conference, Zaruhi Postanjyan told that they have an information that teachers are holding meetings and making the list of people who can provide the victory through the bribes. She is sure that the authorities will be using the mechanism of exaggerated voter lists.

Anyway, Zaruhi Postanjyan believes that people should decide and vote against the fraud instigators.

“I do not consider right to fight against vote buying with suggesting bribes, on contrary, it is a criminal act. They say that we will come to power and distribute bribes. It is wrong,” said Zaruhi Postanjyan referring to the suggestion of “Yelq” bloc that they will give 15 000 AMD to the people who after their victory will tell that they have refused the bribe.

To the question of Aravot.am, what is the reason that “Yelq” decided to use the methods of authority, Zaruhi  Postanjyan answered, that after the parliamentary elections political field is in depression, and main actors are not participating in elections and “Yelq” tries to attract their electors.

“Parliamentary elections were not fair, equal and transparent. People after taking the bribes had had to go and elect the authorities. And “Yelq” took the mandate thus legitimating these elections. They did not take into consideration the processes that happened outside of polling stations,” said Zaruhi Postanjyan
