Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan introduced newly appointed Executive Director Armen Avak Avakyan to the staff of the Armenia Development Fund (ADF).
Karen Karapetyan congratulated Armen Avakyan, wishing him fruitful and effective work. As he said, the ADF is an interesting platform that can help promote the implementation of the Government’s economic programs.
“We look forward to having a modern, aggressive and up-to-date team here. We also expect that the Fund CEO will enhance the effectiveness of activities, including the effectiveness of financial management and related reporting. In connection with each expense, we must have a clear, aggressive justification for what it will serve. It is also necessary to attract additional financial resources to uphold the Fund’s activities,” the Head of Government said.
Pointing out the importance of introducing a system of assessing the effectiveness of government support instruments, the Prime Minister said the Fund should promote exports and provide high-quality consulting services to economic entities.
“We must realize our potential in terms of mastering new sales markets and stimulate exports as much as possible. We likewise need to provide incentives, develop investment projects in order to accommodate foreign companies and realize the tourism potential,” the Head of Government emphasized.
