“The existence of Kurdish autonomy in Syria is a fact, which prevents the regional developments. Syria, Iraq, Iran and Turkey take this fact painfully,” told Arabist Sargis Grigoryan to Aravot when talking about the developments of Kurdish autonomy at the territory of Syria.
According to him in this stage, the majority of Kurds supports the idea of their autonomy to work in federal Syria: “However they are not ready for more.” The expert thinks that soon the Turkish-Kurdish antagonism in Syria will develop even more: “Turks will do everything to suppress the Kurds. The Kurdish activating factor in Syria is the biggest headache for Turkey”.
