When talking to the journalists, the “Yelq” candidate for mayor Nikol Pashinyan said that he is satisfied with the process of the campaign, and the results will show themselves at the city council elections on May 14. Once more talking about the accusations of a candidate for Mayor Zaruhi Postanjyan, that claim that Pashinyan offering 15.000 drams to those who does not take a bribe is a crime, Mr. Pashinyan said: “During the recording of the crime, the law-abiding citizen turns to the law enforcement system”. He also asked how Zaruhi Postanjyan grounds her remark about Nikol Pashinyan supporting the authorities: “If she doesn’t have proof, it’s not honorable for such a political figure to make such a poor announcement.”
To the question about how many votes he’ll receive, Pashinyan answered that usually, he doesn’t make any numerical calculations. The views, attitudes, and feelings of people are more important to him. When asked whether he’ll cooperate with Zaruhi Postanjyan after this, Nikol Pashinyan answered: “We have made the best offers to Zaruhi Postanjyan for cooperation, her announcements don’t add optimism, but we’ve never closed a door. I exclude the chance of our cooperation because of our positions. For Yerevan, we are ready to cooperate with ‘Yerkir Tsirani’.
