On May 12, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh Republic) Karen Mirzoyan received students of the Diplomatic School of Armenia, who had paid a traditional visit to Artsakh, led by the School’s Director, Ambassador Vahe Gabriyelian.
Karen Mirzoyan welcomed the guests and expressed readiness to continue the efficient cooperation with the Diplomatic School of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Armenia. He briefed the students on the priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Artsakh, as well as the activities of the MFA Central Office and the Permanent Representations of Artsakh abroad. The Foreign Minister stressed the importance of cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two Armenian states in resolving the issues of All-Armenian significance.
The sides also touched upon the situation created in the process of peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict as a result of the military aggression launched in April 2016 by Azerbaijan against Artsakh.
In turn, Vahe Gabriyelian expressed gratitude to the Foreign Ministry of Artsakh for the warm welcome and noted that the annual visits to Artsakh gave the future diplomats an opportunity to better understand the realities on the ground and Artsakh’s foreign policy agenda.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister answered the numerous questions of the students related to the process of international recognition of Artsakh, establishment of relations on different levels, as well as a range of international and regional issues.
