May 14,2017 17:17

The police officers forced violence on a candidate for the mayor of Yerevan, the president of “Yerkir Tsirani” party Zaruhi Postanjyan and holding her hands and feet threw her out from one of Taron Margaryan’s pre-electoral offices. They were trying to arrest her.

Zaruhi Postanjyan got an alarm call that they were giving away bribes at this office and she entered the moment they were going through the lists of those who already voted, who were given money and so on.

The lists were kept in the drawer of the office and Postanjyan tried to take them. She claims that the members of the office attacked her. Postanjyan showed the press her red arms, saying that they forced violence on her.

The head of the police of Nor Norq arrived at the scene. He made the press exit assuring that they will open the drawers with the victim and candidate to find out whether there is crime evidence or not.

After some minutes we saw how Postanjyan and her daughter Lilit were carried out of the office. Lilit was taken into a police car and then to a police station. They couldn’t  arrest Zaruhi Postanjyan, and the police officers tried to get her into a car forcing violence on her. Postanjyan was given water.

Later we were informed that Lilit was released from the police car and wasn’t taken to the police station.
