The president of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Tigran Mukuchyan thinks that Zaruhi Postanjyan’s incident during the Yerevan City Council voting, when the police officers used violence on her for bursting into the pre-electoral office, will not shade the elections.
During the press conference, Mukuchyan said: “The pre-electoral office is for the party’s realization of the passive election right. The question is not the immunity of the pre-electoral office: to break into a pre-electoral office based on the rumors and unknown sources and paralyze the working process there is more unacceptable.”
According to the president of CEC such incident can happen to any citizen.
