”The majority of the “Tsarukyan” alliance deputies voted for “Republican” candidate demonstrating their position in the political field. This is a natural process,” during the press conference said Yerevan Council member of “Yelq” bloc Arayik Harutyunyan referring to the election of the Parliament Speaker.
In this connection, he recalled Nikol Pashinyan observation which said “It is strange that the conscience of the “Tsarukyan” alliance deputes guide them to the RPA.” This remark was followed by Deputy Mikael Melkumyan’s explanation that the bloc had made the political decision, leaving the choice on the conscience of deputies.
Councilman of “Yelq” bloc Tigran Avinyann, in his turn, agreed, “In fact, if the choice is left to the conscience of “Tsarukyan” alliance deputies it suggests that they should vote for the RPA.
According to Arayik Harutyunyan, that election showed the real position of “Tsarukyan” alliance. And in the process opposition change, the “Yelq” bloc has taken on the responsibility of a single opposition force.
Note that the names of the Parliament vice-presidents are known.
