For Ambassador Arman Navasardyan the announcement of the co-presidents of OSCE Minsk Group addressed to Azerbaijan cannot be a restraining factor for the actions of that country. “Azerbaijan is not the country the actions of which can be restrained by an announcement of the Minsk Group. They have set a goal for themselves and they are persuading coordinated military, diplomatic, and ideological politics. They are working with their whole enthusiasm,”- said Mr. Navasardyan.
He considered the fire, from the controlled rocket toward the military object of the Defense Army of Artsakh, a provocation: “It is already an emergency case to use such a weapon. They are taking some diplomatic steps. For instance, Mammadyarov’s announcement about lands in exchange for peace. It’s not an option for us; they want to distract the Minsk Group and the international society, making them see that they are using the word ‘peace’. That peace is an absolutely unacceptable option for us. It will be suicide for us if Armenia takes that step.”
According to the ambassador, the Azerbaijani policy, at the state level, having the support of Turkey has a purpose- to take Karabakh: “Being in this kind of situation with such a country and regime, it is impossible to make any compromise. Accepting any kind of proposal from Azerbaijan means physically putting Kharabakh in danger. It is impossible to bring them to the negotiation table”.
