NA is discussing the number of its committees. In his speech, the leader of ‘Yelq’ faction Nikol Pashinyan said that if the Committee of Human Rights and Public Affairs remains as they are suggesting, but Hrayr Tovmasyan or Gevorg Kostanyan become the president of the committee, then what difference will it make?
“Those people were Chief Prosecutor and Minister of Justice, if there were someone to protect human rights, they would have done that before. They are the representatives of a team that violates human rights,”- said Pashinyan.
According to him, if a representative of a principled opposition becomes the president of that committee, then the situation will change.
The leader of RPA faction Vahram Baghdasaryan thought that ‘Yelq’ is protecting its narrow political benefits: “Do you need a service car, the position of the committee or are you solving a principal issue? You want a position.”
