“The approach to Karabakh conflict concerns me the most, in the context to solve the problem according to Kazan agreements. I had an impression that Armenia supports the agreements, and Azerbaijan is against them. In that case, the Foreign Ministry of Armenia has serious problems. In that case, the Ministry absolutely did not work that Azerbaijan even is against that version,’ told Aravot.am a member of parliament Aram Sargsyan referring to the speech of Serzh Sargsyan.

According to him: “I am sure, if Azerbaijan agrees to that version, Serzh Sargsyan does not have the resource to resolve the conflict through Kazan plan. It is obvious for me.”

To the question that Armenia supported the Kazan document, and Serzh Sargsyan told in his interviews to the international media, was it a surprise, Aram Sargsyan answered: “He also told Bloomberg that after the April war his approaches will change, in that regard I have always encouraged. But he has announced that there is an approach and you know it, the problem is not me being for or against it. The problem is if Azerbaijan agrees to resolve the conflict in that way, Serzh Sargsyan does not have resources to solve the problem within his team.

Pursuant to Aram Sargsyan both authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan maintain their policies rejecting each other maintaining the status quo, as that status quo is the only fact that makes not legitimacy a legitimacy, which maintains them as the sole power: “In other words, both authorities remain in power due to narrow national ideology no matter what is going on in the frontline.”
