“Although Armenia is not a paradise to live in, but habitants are concerned not only about their own problems, but are interrelated to the world”, said the co-founder of the “Aurora” humanitarian enterprise and the UWC Dilijan International school, Ruben Vardanyan at the presentation of the international research on the “Aurora” humanism index.
According to the research, humanitarian activities are in the stage of decline, and there is a widespread distrust towards international leaders and their efforts to overcome the refugee crises. A survey of public opinion, which involved 6500 people from twelve countries, states that only nine percent of respondents believe that their activities can make a difference in solving the global refugee crisis.
For the second year, terrorism is being mentioned as a primary humanitarian issue, according to 63 percent of respondents for this time.
