The newly appointed Chief of Staff of the Parliament, Ara Saghatelyan, recently discovered that the NA presidents have accumulated about 30 assistants and advisors over the years, and every next speaker has not wanted to appear a bad person, so, at the expense of state, dozens of parasite assistants, reviewers, and advisors of the president have received salary from the state. The newly elected NA president Ara Babloyan dismissed about 30 assistants, advisors, and reviewers of the NA president. According to some rumors, dismissals are expected also in the Department of Communications and Public Affairs of the NA, where 11 people, including the advisor and two chief specialists, are expected to be dismissed.
“There are more than 754 employees in the NA, including the deputies and their assistants. The assistants are subject to their managers, i.e. the deputies, therefore, the deputies themselves decide where and when their assistants must carry out certain work. Generally, there have not been any unjustified absences in the NA staff in recent years”, said the head of the NA Public Relations and Media Department, Arsen Babayan, referring to the reports about staff absences.
