Aravot.am asked the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia Piotr Switalski to comment on the frontline situation and the last addressed statement of OSCE Minsk group.
“The European Union is a stone supporter of the activities of the Minsk group Co-Chairs. And we support the recent statement of the Minsk Co-Chairs. We believe that status quo is not maintainable,” answered the ambassador.
And then added: “We believe that ceasefire agreement should be respected. We believe that there is no military solution to the conflict. And we believe that the investigation, confident measures should be implemented. And the European Union is ready to provide rehabilitation assistance for conflict to be settled. So when the conflict is settled when the peace comes to Nagorno-Karabakh the European Union will be ready to help with meaningful assistance.”
