More than a year after the April military operations, there are already new buildings in Talish, a village in Artsakh’s Martakert region, which was significantly damaged after being bombarded by the Azerbaijani side. Talish will also have a new school and a kindergarten. During an interview with a group of journalists who recently arrived in Talish, the head of the village Vilen Petrosyan informed that within a few days a construction of three houses would start. “About twenty men are living in the tent settlement of Talish now, who help the village, and participate in constructive operations”, he said.
Petrosyan touched upon the question of what kind of security guarantees the village will have, “There has always been shooting in Talish, but the risk has increased now. To ensure the safety, all the new houses and the general service buildings will be provided with shelters”. The village head said there are 500 Talish-people wishing to return to their village. Then Vilen Petrosyan said: “I am sure that Talish people themselves will shake their mulberry trees, and gather their harvest”. Let us note, that some Talish-people have sheltered in Alashan after April events.
