‘Border situation is stable tense: our responses are targeted’, Defence Army Commander

June 05,2017 13:53

The situation on Artsakh-Azerbaijan border is stable tense, although compared with the previous months, there is a tendency to reduce tensions. The NKR Defence Army Commander Levon Mnatsakanyan talked about this to a group of journalists in Artsakh.

According to him, currently, there are no subversive actions by the enemy intelligence groups, after the February events, “The number of shootings has decreased for several times. If the shots were more accurate last year, this year there is a difference. And our responses are targeted”.

The commander said that the border situation reports will be published once a week by the DA, in order to avoid additional stresses in society. “We believe that reporting once a week is enough to get acquainted with the situation. Information on casualties is immediately reported to the parents. Our army does not hide anything from the public”. As the commander noted, the Azerbaijani propaganda machine spreads disinformation, distracting its people attention from the situation on the frontline, “Azerbaijan will try to maintain tension on the frontline. We’ll do our best to give an adequate response, and, if necessary, the final one”.
