Turkish journalist Ozlem Ertan has written a novel called “My Beautiful Deads” (Turkish: Benim Güzel Ölülerim). It was published last week by Ithaki Publishing House, which is one of the best publishing houses in Turkey. As the author noted, the novel is about Armenian Genocide, Kurds in Turkey and these days problems.
““My Beautiful Deads” is a fantastic novel and I’ve used a magical style and language in this book. This novel is important because it is the first fantastic novel about Armenian Genocide. There are two worlds in my book: the world of the dead and the living. Armenian priest Garabed is one of the main characters in my novel. Garabed Vartabed lost his family and witnessed many tragedies in 1915. Afterward, he was killed by a murderer”, Ozlem Ertan introduced the novel.
As she says, Garabed usually plays duduk and remembers his hometown Dikranagerd (Diyarbakır).
