“Presumably, the sides will work on expanding the office of Andrzej Kasprzyk, i.e. on increasing the number of observers on the contact line, on which an agreement was reached a month ago”, said political analyst Narek Minasyan referring to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ visit to Armenia.
He also noted that unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan rejects any initiative aimed at the contact line control.
Commenting on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edward Nalbandian’s remark, that “the co-chair countries should not only make statements but also apply to specific actions, to restrain the destructive and provocative policy of Azerbaijan”, Narek Minasyan said, “It is natural that the Armenian side expects a tough response from the Co-Chairs, but we should take into account that they cannot exceed their powers determined by the mandate”.
