The Elders of the “Yerkir Tsirani” party were not allowed to the Yerevan City Hall, where Taron Margaryan’s oath-taking ceremony was to take place.
The head of the party Zaruhi Postanjyan and her party member Elders were there not to participate in Taron Margaryan’s ceremony, but to hold a separate session. Mrs. Postanjyan had even made an agenda, and was going to discuss the question concerning the implementation of an initiative to set up a statue of the 28th USA president and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Thomas Woodrow Wilson. Yerevan’s transportation was also to be addressed. Issues on the agenda included the utility bills of the City Hall and the organization of meetings and discussions with citizens in Yerevan administrative districts.
Zaruhi Postanjyan said, that they had come to work, and had not been allowed in. Mrs. Postanjyan waited outside with her teammates till the ceremony was over. Residents of the sale zone were in front of the City Hall with Zaruhi Postanjyan, protesting and demanding compensation.
After the ceremony, as the officials were leaving the City Hall citizens started labeling them as “liars”, “impudent creatures”, “robbers”.
