‘Bomb exploded nearby my house… one of my children disappeared in chaos’: Talish man

Sargis Buldagharyan is one of the Talish men who had to leave his fatherland after the April War of the last year and to reside in Alashan resort village where they have also founded a school. He has 6 children. They have welcomed their junior one in days. Sargis cultivates a piece of land in Alashan. He reminisces the April War: “It was God’s blessing that we escaped the bombing. We had no idea how to hide our children, before the morning.”

Buldagharyan mentioned that on their way to Alashan, all in fear and chaos, at a moment he had lost one of the children: “A bomb exploded nearby my house… it was dark, my wife took the younger children in her hands… one of my boys cried “Dad, I am here” before I could find him.”

Siranoush Ohanyan’s son will be conscripted into the army soon. The woman does not want to remember April, the pain of loss is more than deep. Her son-in-law is Hrach Galstyan, martyred in Talish.         

Mrs. Siranoush shows the photographs of her granddaughter, already 1 years old and her tears do not let her speak… “The children were frightened during those days. They are afraid even of thunder now…”, tells Siranoush Ohanyan, “When peace comes, we will definitely go back to Talish.”
