Ethnographer Hranush Kharatyan does not rule out that heavier military operations than the April can start, which, however, will not have a tendency to become a war.
During a press conference, Mrs. Kharatyan noted that even in terms of our internal problems it is very difficult for Armenia to negotiate with a country that has no sense of responsibility, referring to Azerbaijan’s recent statements, the Azerbaijani-Turkish military trainings in Nakhichevan and parliamentarians’ visit to Artsakh. Referring to the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s “an inch-thick land longers” expression, the ethnographer said, “When they say this expression, it seems that people are extremists. However, it is not about general concessions policy, but Karabakh’s direct, precise, reliable, and guaranteed status. Those who say, “not an inch of land”, mean that any concession must be weighed by the status of Karabakh”.
Mrs. Kharatyan believes that Russia and Turkey will always be in a flirtation, but she is concerned that a large amount of our problems might take part in that. According to Hranush Kharatyan, Aliyev’s strategic vision is to receive Artsakh in a package.
