Recent trials of the revolutionists, rebels, or “strugglers for national liberation” within the country, or simply the “bold guys”, “heroes” and “devotees”, who are allowed to do anything (they can be called in various ways), and are defendants at the bar, in fact, are failing.
There are several reasons:
1) those are badly organized by the Judicial Department,
2) supporters of revolutionists “make a racket”,
3) the revolutionaries themselves do their utmost so that these trials will fail.
The first two reasons I hope will sooner or later disappear. Particularly, the organizers of the proceedings will understand that the search of lawyers is prohibited by law, and will not insist on the opposite.
By the way, keeping journalists behind the glass is not a good idea either, because almost nothing is heard from there, and my colleagues have to run after the participants of the trial to find out what was said.
Supporters will also sooner or later realize that the trial is not a rock concert or a rally.
The third question is more of principle. Either I recognize the jurisdiction of the RA court as an institution, or I don’t. If I do not recognize then it’s pointless to take part in the proceedings in any way. It also means not to accept the state’s jurisdiction, to live by “principles of a bold guy”, for whom the Criminal Code and the other laws are of a “zero” value. But that is the position that has been adopted by most government representatives over the last 26 years. The revolutionary and ruling extremities, like all other extremities, draw nearer, “I’ve done so much for this nation that I can even shoot some 2-3 people”. Or “to steal a few things”.
If I recognize the jurisdiction of the RA court, then I must stand up and answer the questions of the judge and prosecutors, by the way, I must strongly restrain my fans (especially ladies) who are in revolutionary ecstasy, I must be self-restrained and polite, and, staying in that style, I will prove that the Court is not independent, it is not professional, that it fulfils the order of Baghramyan 26, that I have not committed any crime, or I have committed, and I have done it for my nation, which was a rebellion, etc. Only in case of recognizing the jurisdiction of the court, there is a sense to hire lawyers, make solicitations, and speeches, etc.
And vice versa, if I am a rebel and a revolutionist, then I should believe only in revolutionary justice which is carried out by the mass gathered in the square.
