“Piotr Switalski has stated the existing truth in Armenia. He noted that there is a lack of confidence in the election process”, said a member of “Tsarukyan” faction, Ararat Zurabyan, referring to the recent “exchange of fire” between Piotr Switalski and Armenian authorities.
The reason for all this, according to him, is that our authorities are convinced that brilliant elections have been organized and that the fact of absence of post-electoral processes convinces them in the latter. Therefore, according to the opposition deputy, “they are insulted that an expression casts a shadow on their “well-organized elections””.
“It would be appropriate to show a slighter approach: it is the duty of both Mr. Switalski, Armenian authorities, and the individuals engaged in politics, to constantly improve the organization of electoral processes. I think that any point of view should be taken into consideration, and not to oppose, as it happened in our case”, said Ararat Zurabyan, adding that he does not see anything unusual in this. He thinks that political processes are not as rapid as the media tries to present.
