42% increase in tourist flows into Artsakh has been recorded in April 2017, to compare with the same period of the previous year, while a 222% rise recorded in the sphere in May 2017 compared with May 2016, Tigran Abrahamyan, Adviser to the Artsakh Republic President, informed in a Facebook post, reports Panorama.am.
“As predicted earlier, the construction of Vardenis-Martakert roadway prompted the progressive pace in the tourism sector, with the highway’s economic influence first of all reflected in the sphere. To note, in the first quarter of the current year, a 10% growth has been recorded in the sphere against the same period of the previous year,” the post reads.
