The Republican Party of Armenia Member of Parliament, the President of Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs states that the newly represented plan of the government is intended for promoting small and average entrepreneurship, fostering the creation of workplaces, shaping a competitive economy. “This means – to shape such impregnate production capacities which will bring out competitive products to the external market. This is the primary objective of the government”, he announced.
As reported by Harutyunyan, the government’s plan, in comparison with the previous ones, will endeavor to heal the economic organism of the RA: “We have an issue to involve foreign investments. The parent investor in Europe should make sure that s/he can produce the same goods cheap and with high quality in RA. For this the government is going to found a quality certificate institute of the RA in the near future: this implies that the goods should correspond to the European standards. It is not possible to take the goods to Europe for standardization every time.”
The next issue, which the government is going to settle, is the export. Khosrov Harutyunyan noted that the partners of Armenian exporters oftentimes do not pay the latters for a long time, and the means of the exporters disappear. “The government will found an export insurance agency. That is, the agency will examine the capacities of the partner of the exporter and advise whether it is worth to collaborate or not. Besides, the agency takes the risks, e.g. payment, in case the partner does not pay. The producer starts to work with the partner and receive the losses”, noted Khosrov Harutyunyan. He also highlighted that pursuant to the government’s plan, GDP rise is envisaged, 5% by each year.
