2016 budget execution report is discussed in the Parliament. The Presidential Chief of Staff Armen Gevorgyan reported that the Presidential Staff has been provided 4 billion and 618 million AMD, 4.2 billion has been spent. The Staff expenses have decreased by approximately 5%. 429 million AMD has been returned to the state budget. The President of the Republic of Armenia has paid 18 state official and working visits abroad has had about 50 meetings with the ambassadors accredited in Armenia throughout 2016. He has received over 5800 citizens. “Yelq” MP Mane Tandilyan asked Armen Gevorgyan on how much the business trip expenses have separately amounted to: “How much does the Staff spend on business trips annually? Where are the financial means taken from and how much is spent on per trip in average?”
Armen Gevorgyan replied that the RA President has paid 18 official visits: “The Staff of the President’s Office has been provided with 579 million AMD via the Article on Business Trips and Tours, we have had 84 million of redistribution. The total expense of the year has accounted for 663 million AMD.
This is merely the expense of the RA President. The expenses of per visit have not been counted according to Armen Gevorgyan. Mane Tandilyan noted that it would have been an interesting number to understand how much per business trip requires from the budget. Armen Gevorgyan suggested the Ministry of Finances insert such line for them to count.
Hrant Tovmasyan, for his part, added that there is a certain amount determined for per person in relation with the business trip, ticket, country, and keeper.
