On June 29, the delegation led by the RA NA Vice President, Head of Armenia-Czech Republic Friendship Group Eduard Sharmazanov, comprised of the RA NA deputies Gagik Melikyan and Vardan Bostanjyan met with the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Jan Bartošek in Prague.
The RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov handed the RA NA Medal of Honour to Jan Bartošek for the work done in adopting the Resolution on Condemning the Armenian Genocide by the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament on 25 April 2017, as well as for strengthening the Czech-Armenian inter-parliamentary ties.
Handing over the award, the RA NA Vice President noted: “Through many years you have been and continue fighting against terrorist acts, denial of genocides and for protection of human rights. Today, our brothers in Artsakh fight for the right to live independently and freely, building free Artsakh. Visit Artsakh and be convinced that the citizens of Artsakh build a democratic state.”
Eduard Sharmazanov has noted that Armenia attaches a great importance to the development of parliamentary diplomacy. Appreciating the sustainable development of relationship with the Czech Republic, he emphasized that a positive progress is seen in bilateral relations.
The members of the delegation presented the process of the constitutional reforms and shifting to the parliamentary system of governance, and reforms in various spheres in Armenia.
