On July 3, the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment convened the regular sitting, which moderated the Committee Chair Vardevan Grigoryan.
The Committee debated and endorsed the legislative draft law on Amending the RA Law on Approving the Annual and Complex Programmes of the Restoration, Preservation, Reproduction and Use Events of Lake Sevan Ecosystems authored by the RA Government for debating in the first reading in the RA NA Extraordinary Session to be convened on July 4.
The key speaker, Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management of the RA Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Arsen Harutyunyan presented the temporary programme on the annual maximum amount change of water removal from Late Sevan.
The co-speaker, the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment deputy Aram Harutyunyan in his speech touched upon the importance and topicality of the programme.
At the Committee sitting members of a number of NGOs, who presented recommendations, also took part in the sitting.
