“It is difficult for me to welcome that meeting, but the communication cannot be broken. Simply, I do not see in this case via what package the Republic of Armenia goes to negotiations and via what package the Minsk Group is performing”, says the first Ombudswoman of the Republic of Armenia, human rights defender Larisa Alaverdyan, referring to the possible meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the RA and Azerbaijan in July.
“I would involve the Great Britain in the game. Azerbaijan is the territory of the interests of “British Petroleum”. It is surprising that we do not work with such a subject”, opines Mrs. Alaverdyan.
She does not share the opinion implying that the tense situation of the recent days emanates from the interests of the Russian Federation: “We should not point the arrow only in one direction. If we do not undertake anything, the situation will remain the same, we will have victims and injured soldiers.”
The speaker emphasizes that Azerbaijan started attacking US Independence Day, which is not a coincidence: “It is a handwriting of a scum, which says – nothing matters to me… It happened to point the disrespectful attitude towards the most powerful US. Each provocation day of Azerbaijan is not a coincidence.”
