Naira Zohrabyan: ask RPA on future prime minister matters

July 10,2017 15:50

“In my opinion, you have asked a completely wrong person. You should apply to the representatives of the Republican Party of Armenia on that matter: they have taken the majority, they have undertaken the responsibility. Who will become the prime minister in 2018, is out of my concern and, frankly speaking, out of my interest as well”, replied “Tsarukyan” alliance MP Naira Zohrabyan to the question – who will become the prime minister in 2018 according to her.

Let us remind you that this topic started to actively articulate when Karen Karapetyan presented the government plan for the upcoming 5 years to the Parliament. The opposition, leaving in essence discussions aside, highlighted the question of who will become the prime minister in 2018. “If we took the majority, then your question would have been relevant and then I would have said that I see Gagik Tsarukyan as prime minister candidate”, added Naira Zohrabyan.

Let us remind you that the MPs from “Tsarukyan” alliance, the Deputy Presidents of the National Assembly Mikael Melkumyan and Vardan Bostanjyan had told they did not see a problem in Serzh Sargsyan becoming the prime minister in 2018.

Asked whether conversation exists implying that in 2018 “Tsarukyan” alliance is likely to form a coalition with the incumbent party, Naira Zohrabyan answered: “There is not an issue of making a coalition on our agenda. Who and why puts these rumors into circulation, ask them.”

We noted that Vardan Bostanjyan had not excluded such developments. To this Naira Zohrabyan contradicted: “I answered your question: there is not an issue of making a coalition in place in “Tsarukyan” alliance’s agenda.”
