Alen Simonyan witnessed during the interview that the Mayor himself has appointed Vardanyan the adviser to give him advice, and in practice, Vardanyan cannot give them advice.
Alen Simonyan went into details: “Vardanyan as a political, official figure can give advice to our alliance neither by office nor in practice.”
Asked whether one can say that Mr. Vardanyan knows the issues of Yerevan well, judging from his activity and that he will be able to help the Mayor with his advice, Mr. Simonyan replied: “I do not know him and I do not think we have anything common. Neither do I want to give estimations about him. The attitude and response of the public which is and will be in place, are the vivid evidence of it.”
Alen Simonyan reminded us that Gor Vardanyan has already worked in Yerevan Municipality during Gagik Beglaryan’s term of office again it the field of sports. However, it will be incorrect to say it has been a long-term office.
