“Actions of “Sasna Tsrer” were terrorism”, David Shahnazaryan, a former head of the National Security Service, an analyst at the Armenian Centre for the Regional Studies, told reporters yesterday. To the reporters’ remark that the criminal case was not instituted by that article as a terrorism, David Shahnazaryan responded, “It’s the mistake of the Prosecutor’s Office”.
Let us remind that a year ago “Sasna Tsrer” occupied by the patrol regiment, and yesterday a candle lighting was organized in memory of three policemen who were killed there.
He said that “today’s event shows that our society does not tolerate and has not tolerated any attempt to solve political problems by force”.
In response to the question, whether how he assesses police actions, usually what actions should be taken in such situations, Mr Shahnazaryan said, “Judging by the result, the latter is more than positive. You’ve seen yourself”.
