“Zhoghovurd” (The People) has spoken about Artsakh presidential elections, possible developments and “Sasna Tsrer” trials to Artsakh National Security Council Secretary – Vitaly Balasayan.
– Balasanyan, let us refer to “Sasna Tsrer” trials. The members of the faction speak out as if they are being subject to violence.
– Firstly, let me say the following: we fulfilled each of the promises we had given back then. Moreover, we had injured people from the armed group we showed a high-level treatment. Back then they told stories as if the prisoners are subject to violence and harassment. At this moment, I cannot say, forasmuch as I have not been there lately, I have not met them, but I am sure that everything is the same and they have not committed violence towards any of them. What has happened in the recent days, during the trial, I have no idea, inasmuch as I get information from media. I think that such things do not happen.
– How can we summarize the incident of the police station occupation a year later? Did you have your input in reconciliation after which you received a position becoming Artsakh National Security Council Secretary?
– I would advice everyone, media encompassed, to help for such things not to occur in the future. The ones who speak and give assessments as if it would be good if they shot, it would be good if they continued, it would be good if the ones who speak hiding in cellars went and participated in the terrorist attack or uprising. Now as well they should stay away from such announcements and help those judicial processes to pass normally. And the advocates should not make a show every day, bring forth different reasons and delay. It should not be turned into a show, it is a judicial process, I tell the same to the advocates as well, they should stay discreet and conduct serious work.
