€105 million available for clean energy research under Horizon 2020

Applicants still have until 7 September to submit project proposals aiming to demonstrate innovative renewable energy technologies under the EU’s Horizon 2020 ‘Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy’ Work Programme.

The total available budget is €105 million, divided between the following nine topics of the Competitive Low-Carbon Energy call for research and innovation proposals:

The calls are open to any legal entity in a country eligible for Horizon 2020 funding.

Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine are Associated Countries of Horizon 2020, which means they can participate in the programme under the same conditions as EU Member States, while Azerbaijan and Belarus are among the approximately 130 developing countries automatically eligible for funding.
