Main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has said that it was not safe for Germans to travel to Turkey.
“There are no security guarantees for anyone in Turkey,” Kılıçdaroğlu told the Germanweekly magazine Focus on Aug. 5, as he added that “foreign capital comes into a country only if there is rule of law, justice, security and property guarantees.”
Kılıçdaroğlu also criticized the arrests of journalists in Turkey.
“I consider it completely inappropriate to designate German journalists or other citizens who come to Turkey for professional reasons as spies,” he said.
