Yerevan State University Chief of Inter-university Education Department Vachagan Galstyan stated that the admission process is over and all phases together by a unified system have encompassed 9559 applicants, 8266 of which have been accepted.
According to him, the number of the accepted students of this year has exceeded the number of the accepted students of the previous year by 380.
As mentioned by him, Yerevan State University had 3000 paid and 368 free of charge and military deferment right seats. Mr. Galstyan noted that the demanded professions comprise Informatics, Culturology, Law and Social Work.
By the way, he stated that 2 and more applicants have struggled for 1 seat. He expressed his regret that the number of the applicants in Physics and Mathematics and Natural Sciences has decreased.
Vachagan Galstyan also reminisced that from 1995-2000s the applicants were accepted to those faculties via interview, which gave an opportunity to have students in the mentioned profession fields.
