Rapid and Blitz competition, which was the fourth stop on the Grand Chess Tour 2017 taking place at Saint Louis, US, is officially over, with Armenian GM Levon Aronian dominating the field, chess.am reports.
Earlier Aronian had won the Rapid event. Sergey Karjakin (Russia) became the winner of the Blitz competition 13․5 points, with Levon Aronian taking the second place with 12․5 points.
Since the winner of the tournament is determined on the basis of the overall scores of the two sections, Aronian became the winner with a total of 24․5 points, leaving behind Karjakin and Nakamura sharing 2-3 spots.
