Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Sept. 11 to pardon Alexander Lapshin. APA reports.
The order says: “Guided by the 22nd paragraph of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I take the decision to release Israeli citizen Lapshin Alexander Valerevich, who was sentenced to three years in prison upon the decision of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes on 20 July 2017.”
The order comes into force from the date of signing.
