Eduard Sharmazanov: Republican Party does not boycott PM

October 31,2017 15:41

“Those officials whose names have been mentioned in the article, Armen Ashotyan, Ara Babloyan, Vahram Baghdasaryan. are on a business trip. Koryun Nahapetyan was in the hall. And Khosrov Harutyan was 5 minutes late,” explains Eduard Sharmazanov, vice speaker of the parliament, to Aravot.am.

Let us remind you, that Armenian press has published a list of members of parliament, which were absent during the discussion of the 2018 budget project.

Eduard Sharmazanov claims the assessments that ruling Republican party is boycotting Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan do not correspond to reality as the majority of the participants were members of the Republican faction: “Right now 11-12 MPs are participating in discussions. 8 of them is from the Republican faction. Is this boycotting? Karen Karapetyan is one of the key representatives of our political team. He was appointed by the president, by our team. We represent the same team. All the attempts to cast a shadow over the government and the majority of the parliament are intolerable. The speaker of the parliament is on a business trip, and as a vice speaker I am on the spot, the secretary and the heads of commissions are also on the spot. This is our budget, our government and the budget of our government. RPA supports this budget.”
