On December 17, the Union of Artists of Armenia opened a traditional charity fair organized by the Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) dedicated to the New Year and Christmas.
Among the participants of the fair were embassies of different countries, local and international NGOs, individual producers and organizations, local and Syrian-Armenian producers.
Flags of the Republic of China were especially attractive near which the representatives of that country, besides presenting their products, also were offering jasmine tea to the visitors.
Lusine Harutyunyan presented her handmade jewellery. In an interview with Aravot.am, she noted that she regularly participates in exhibitions organized on holidays.
“I am a painter-designer by profession. I have studied at the Terlemezian College of Fine Arts, and later at the College of Theater, in the Scenography department. I am engaged in making jewellery for already 12 years. Not only I love making jewellery but also wearing my own handmade jewellery”, said the designer. We asked Lusine Harutyunyan who are her clients. According to our interlocutor, they are people who appreciate beauty.
Monica Khachatryan makes jewellery from leather, and according to her, she enjoys it. “My clients are people with different professions representing different fields, mostly artists, and many are from abroad. Whoever appreciates leather, becomes my client”, said Monica Khachatryan.
She has previously worked as a kindergarten nurse, but likes jewellery making more.
Besides jewellery, there were clothes, various accessories, and sweets. Syrian-Armenians presented eastern dishes and silver jewellery.
