Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC) published the results of the research on public opinion encompassing a questionnaire of more than 100 questions which has been carried out since 2004 in South Caucasus, entitled “Caucasus barometer 2017”.
In 2017 the survey has been conducted in Armenia and Georgia, in randomly chosen 4027 households (1648 in Armenia and 2379 in Georgia). In the row of manifold social, economic and political questions was one relative to Armenian residents: “How do you treat “Sasna Tsrer” operations?” 19% of the respondents fully justify their actions, 28% both condemns and justifies, 6% sharply condemns and 6% has never heard of their actions.
Asked whether people should participate in protests against the government or not, 41% of the respondents of the current year has given a positive answer, they fully agree that they should participate, only 10% of the respondents has given a negative answer. Let us note that as compared with 2015, the number of respondents giving a positive answer to the aforementioned question on protests against the government have decreased by 5%.
