Deputy speaker of the National Assembly, Eduard Sharmazanov and RPA leader Vahram Baghdasaryan referred to “Yelq’s” criticisms in the Parliament.
Let us remind you that during the voting for draft changes in the Judicial Code, “Yelq” announced that Parliamentary regulations and laws were being violated, a re-voting should take place, but the President of the National Assembly did not hear their demand. Eduard Sharmazanov explained, Rustam Makhmudyan’s button did not work for them to repeat voting, how could the button work, it would not work again. As regards the question whether it was a constitutional law which should have passed by 63 votes compulsorily, Sharmazanov replied that the State and Legal Affairs Committee of the National Assembly has considered it a constitutional law that was why the President of the National Assembly announced it similarly.
Vahram Baghdasaryan told that Parliamentary leadership takes the opinion of the Legal Department and State and Legal Affairs’ Committee as a ground: “The Committee has given that the law is constitutional, the Legal Department has not objected it, that is, the leadership of the National Assembly has complied with the regulations.”
As far as “Yelq” is concerned, Baghdasaryan asked: “Were they against the law or wanted to disturb the normal stream of the work of the Parliament? I think, law was not that important to them at the moment, they simply wanted to show that the parliamentary majority is not able to hold the situation under control. And it is not true, parliamentary majority, coalition is able to take the situation under control.”
It is not understandable to Vahram Baghdasaryan why “Yelq” made a quarrel out of Makhmudyan’s voting. Whenever the MPs have not been able to vote, they have voiced about it and their vote has been taken into account.
