Question: How would you comment on the statement of Turkish Foreign Minister that allegedly the Armenian-Turkish protocols were signed with certain preconditions.
Answer: Turkish Foreign Minister is simply lying.
If we follow the same logic, then we can claim that during the negotiations over the protocols Turkey has promised to recognize the independence of Artsakh.
Let us recall, that the negotiations in 2008 started exactly with the mutual agreement with the Turkish side, that the process could not have any precondition. Based on this agreement negotiations were conducted and Zürich protocols were signed.
Various world capitals, which have been well-informed about the process, made numerous statements about the absence of preconditions.
