TV and online video journalists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine are invited to participate in a production support scheme launched by the EU-funded Open Media Hub to create content related to the respective countries’ relations with the EU.
The topic of the call is corruption. At the recent Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels on 24 November 2017, the EU reaffirmed good governance and the fight against corruption as a priority in its relation with its neighbouring countries.
The OPEN Media Hub will support this with guidance and funding of content addressing this theme, enabling broadcasters and publishers to illustrate, compare and contrast regional policies, actions and examples of corruption. The application deadline is 31 January 2018. Click here for eligibility criteria and application guidelines.
The OPEN Media Hub project, funded under the OPEN Neighbourhood programme, aims at creating a virtual media hub in order to contribute to the development of independent media and to a more accurate presentation of EU policies in the Neighbourhood regions, through the creation of a network of journalists. It will provide skills to journalists and media managers through the fostering of professional networks, the provision of hands-on workshops and journalist exchanges, and support to audio-visual and online production.
