The director of Gyumri’s Vardan Achemyan Drama Theatre, Tigran Virabyan has published photographs on his Facebook page illustrating the constructions in Petros Adamian Tbilisi State Armenian Drama Theatre building, writing: “Construction of large-scale fundamental upgrade ahs started in Petros Adamian Tbilisi State Armenian Drama Theatre building, all of us will have such gorgeous Armenian theatre beyond Armenia’s borders soon.”
Aravot.am was informed by Tigran Virabyan that Gyumri Drama Theatre will perform in Tbilisi on May. He is now in Tbilisi to organize the preparatory work for the tour.
“We organize the tour, naturally, with the support of Armenian Theatre of Tbilisi, we will perform in another building: after waiting for 7 years, the fundamental upgrade has started in the building of Petros Adamian Tbilisi State Armenian Drama Theatre, which will last 2 years, most possibly”, told our interlocutor.
Let us remind you that it is the only state Armenian theatre beyond Armenia’s border.
