Minister of Justice: ‘Presidential candidates are few in country’

The minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Davit Harutyunyan addressed to the issue who is acceptable for him as a presidential candidate of the Republic of Armenia. “Being a member of a political team, I will refrain from giving names. If the candidates I prefer are acceptable, we will inform you after the discussion”, hinted Davit Harutyunyan.

Asked is there a person who can enjoy the confidence of all political forces and the public as a candidate, as Serzh Sargsyan indicated, Davit Harutyunyan replied: “I think the presidential candidates are not many in the country.”

As regards the question whether Davit Harutyunyan has guarantees by the RPA elite for preserving his position in the new government of the Republic of Armenia in 2018, Davit Harutyunyan responded: “There can be no guarantee for anyone.”
