Baku and Moscow negotiate over new military agreement: Aliyev

January 24,2018 15:09

Baku is holding new talks with Russia over a new agreement on military-technical cooperation. The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, told “RIA Novosti” about this.

“This is a process that is always in the center of our attention. Now negotiations are underway. You know that the Russian military industry is experiencing progress, and produces new modern weaponry. It is hard for me now to talk about specific types, but in general, our cooperation is fruitful in that field”, said Aliyev at the World Economic Forum.

Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan has signed contracts of 5 million dollars with Russia.

“Most of them have been implemented. We have received our purchased products. We will now work on further cooperation programs. There are no restrictions in Azerbaijan and Russia”, he said.

The World Economic Forum opened on January 23 in Davos, which will run until January 26.
