“A delegation from Iran will soon visit to try to finalize the project. We are not to blame for delaying the launch”, talking to reporters on the issue, why Meghri HPP was not put into operation by the end of January, said Iran’s ambassador to Armenia Seyed Kazem Sajadi:
“Usually, those who are late are the companies. Governments of our countries always work”, assured Seyed Kazem Sajad.
In response to the question of “Aravot”, whether how the possible launch of a part of the Iran-Azerbaijan railway scheduled for March will affect the Armenian-Iranian railway project which is still on paper, the ambassador said: “You live and eat in your home, why does it matter what they do and what they eat in the neighbouring country? Iran’s relations with Armenia are fine. We are ready to launch the railway, but Armenia has to present an investor. We need joint investments. Take a step and we will respond to it on our turn”.
