February 14,2018 13:51

After the brawl that took place in the Yerevan City Council today, members of the Council expressed their views on the incident.

To the question about how she would evaluate the fact that Republican members of the City Council beated a woman, Naira Nahapetyan responded thorough a question: “and how would you evaluate if the acid was poured onto my face?”. Mrs. Nahapetyan expressed conviction that the “Yerkir Tsirani” members of the City Council were going to pour that liquid on Mayor Taron Margaryan. Asked how she would assess the behaviour of her party colleagues, Naira Nahapetyan said she did not know: “how would you behave?”. Journalists asked whether she would beat, she answered that if she was to beat then everyone would see that.

Republican member of the Council Gor Vardanyan, who also participated in the “removal” of Marina Khachatryan from the hall with his Republican colleagues, in response to the questions of journalists, he asked to evaluate what was happening in the hall and present the reality to the public.

Alina Kushkyan, Republican member of the Council, assured that she did not see how her colleagues beated Marina Khachatryan. She said: “I do not justify all that, but a woman should behave a bit moderately. But every time you see it is impossible to work under such conditions”.
